Did not answer. Caller (female) began to talk over answering machine message, mentioned the name "Samantha". (nobody here by that name) 554 is not a valid area code. May be Brazilian? 55 is the country code for Brazil, and 400x-xxxx is a valid phone number format in Brazil.

Called and asked for someone that didnt own phone

can't understand them and most of the time they are not on other end they say wait for a rep. since they are all busy.i called it back and said not to call my number again.and they still are, my land line and now my cell.make them stop.

Got a call saying my credit line was in jeopardy press 9 to speak to a rep. When I pressed 9 Ed White answered said thanks for holding are you interested in lowering your credit card rate. I replied no, and said how can I be added to your do not call list? He was very rude said great another F*&%ing A**Hole and hung up on me. I tried to call the number back but, it only rings once then does a disconnect sound and hangs back up

I always received this phone number on my cell phone. I answered before, no answer, no one speak. Now, when this phone number appeared on the cller ID, I dont answer.

recorded message that say's they are a collection agency and to hang up the phone if you are not the name of the caller and if you stay on line then you are agreeing that is is the person....How do they know if we hang up or listen to the whole message...It's annoying and calls come in every day.

Check can't be sent in the mail. Callers were completely unprofessional, sounded like this was out of country, could barely speak English, and had extremely poor manners.

By all the past responses I have read here, I have to imagine he/she loves to create havoc and chaos in people's lives for his/her sheer enjoyment. Your best choice in this scenerio is to ignore the message. He/she will go away to torment someone else. If you respond, you have been hooked for further games/scams.
